Dyslexia - A Barrier to Education? RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden

The Dyslexia Research Trust “Dyslexia - A Barrier to Education?” garden sounds fascinating.

The garden highlights research into how the brain processes visual information differently (comparing blue and yellow frequencies to white light).

Plants include Pulmonaria ‘Blue Ensign’and pulmonaria ‘Sissinghurst White’.

The garden is separated by a wall into two sections and the path between the two contains a partial barrier (books) between the white side and the blue and yellow side, to represent the barrier that reading can cause to those with dyslexia.

The increased awareness of dyslexia is great for pupils at dyslexia schools. More awareness will inevitably lead to greater public understanding.

Update: “The Dyslexia - A Barrier to Achievement?” garden won a bronze award from the RHS.
