Concern over falling water levels in the Kennet
Wiltshire conservationists are worried that stretches of the River Kennet are drying up beacuse too much water is being taken from the Thames tributary. This year’s hot weather led to a surge in water use and so river levels dropped. Some stretches of the watercourse totally dried up.
